Our Organization
The South Grand Community Improvement District (CID) was organized under Missouri legislation in 2001 provide enhanced public safety, maintenance, building improvements and economic development beyond those services already supplied by the city. The district boundaries are on both sides of South Grand Boulevard extending from Utah Place North to Arsenal Street.
The CID operates as a political subdivision run by a board of directors comprised from unpaid volunteers—all of whom are assessment-paying property owners within the district.

Some of the advantages of a CID are:
- A consistent source of funds to improve South Grand in order to attract new investments, businesses, residents and visitors.
- District administers a work plan on keeping the area safe and clean as well as creates special events for the community.
- The District provides the financial resources to reduce building vacancies and attract new businesses to the District.
